Farming hydras, some don't take damage - Guild Wars Forums

When I get all the hydras together (and even when I was only taking on about 8 at a time), some just don't take damage until everything else dies. Then they kill me, because my defenses don't last that long, which is kind of annoying. Does anyone know why? Is it just that thay can't get in range of my pbaoes?

Sometimes I get this while farming. I believe it is due to the monsters desyncing and not actually being where they are shown on the screen. Very annoying.

This happens to me a lot when farming giants. When I pull 6, only 5 are actually getting damaged. The sixth just stands on top of me (or so that is how it appears on my screen). I think this is because of the size of the creatures, the case with hydras too, so too many and they block eachother out of AoE dmg.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I just get tired of wasting time dying and running back to grab my loot (and of losing the few kills). Have to find a way to cast Mark of Protection three times instead of 2.

consider using protective bond? with that, all the 140+ fire spells only do 20~. and you lose energy along with it, of course.

essence bond + balthazar's spirit? i dunno, but protective bond is the only thing that lets me solo hydras.
